I drink tons of boba places! This was one of the best ones I have had in Portland. (I did not like tiki).
Location:
It was a little far, if you don't have a rent-a-car or uber it will be out of your way. It felt like it was in a nice neighborhood and I saw a lot of local kids coming into the establishment when school was out.
Drinks:
50% sugar was perfect for me, usually I get this at T4 and 70% on happy lemon drinks. Quickly's is almost 50% sugar also.
I ordered a Lychee/Raspberry w/ Lychee popping boba. It was really good and refreshing for what it was.
Toppings:
Popping Lychee Boba - first time having this, and it was really good. It made my drink, I had no problem/drinking/eating these when all my tea was done.
Aesthetics:
It felt really nice inside. Had a bit of youth with the wooden wall feel so it felt old/rustic but w/ character. How a lot of Portland feels.
Service:
The gentlemen that helped us and made the drinks was very friendly and helpful.
Price:
4$ including the topping, pretty good price. Use to paying tax in California and having topping be more so this is always a welcome surprise.
Bathroom:
Did not visit/try to use. -

I'm from the Bay and we have great milk tea but this place is pretty good. I'm spoiled with real fresh taro but their taro powder here was made perfectly with very fresh milk and very fresh tea. It tastes clean. Their boba wasn't fresh but it was very clean.
The Bay Area is known for being dirty and ghetto and their pearls taste like they weren't kept clean. Milk tastes left out, so even if in California we use better tea, and realer ingredients, the dirtiness of California standards makes this place quite similar. -

This restaurant was okay. Setting-wise, it had that Portland vibe that I dig. Service seemed slower than it should have been, and their banh mi sandwiches were pretty average. There are many banh mi places up and down Hawthorne and scattered throughout Portland; I'm not left with a desire to hit this one up a second time.

Tried their original milk tea with lychee jelly and it was very comparable to the cheap Quickly Boba chain. It gets the job done when you're craving boba but definitely not worth the $5 (+$0.50 with a topping) if you're looking for quality boba.

I am a huge boba fanatic and I am always wanting to try a boba drink when I'm in a new area. Since I'm visiting Portland, OR I decided to check out this place since it's only about a mile from where I'm staying. They have a variety of drinks ranging from iced, traditional milk tea and smoothie. They also have some bagels and they carry Banh Mi. I got the matcha green milk tea. It was kind of chalky from the tea and wasn't very smooth to drink, it left my mouth a little dry. The staff though was nice and friendly and the place was clean.
